Faith is knowing that God will say yes to your prayer but only if you are obedient to his word. It's like asking your parent for something and they say yes, but first you must clean your room. Ok you start cleaning your room and leave a sock on the floor. You then get further distracted by finding an old toy that you haven't seen in years and you begin to play with it. Well it's that simple, God is still willing and waiting to reward you but have you finish cleaning your room? Faith is waiting on God, but God is patiently waiting on You!
Faith is hearing from God and acting on what we hear according to His will, not ours. We never know what God has in store for us when we are going through uncertain events. Faith requires patience, trust and love. Patience is waiting on God; Trust is relying fully on God; Love is to adore God through all things. However, waiting on God does not totally release us from our responsibility in doing our part. We show our faith by taking obedient steps and not worrying about how we think or want an outcome to be, but we allow God to determine the outcome. God is in control.
